Tensor Cards

We designed and manufactured an innovative Card Game that pushes children's intelligence and growth mindset by allowing them to explore multiple and parallel creative sequences!

With Tensor Cards, children and grown ups, alike, can have lots of family fun and challenge their thinking process at the same time!

Tensor Cards are fun at any age, but we recommend starting at the ages 5 and above, depending upon child's developmental stage.

"My twins kept on debating which card should go first in the sequence and my daughter walks in and puts both cards in parallel. All staring at each other! OMG!

Shelly, Parent

These cards are brilliant! Perfect for children who are visual spatial learners.

Beth, Professional

"After making the bakery flow, my daughter asked me to make my personal flow and while I was changing cards, she starting taking away cards, making it the funnest challenge game ever! :) "

Anna, Mom

"My son quickly realized that the cards weren't meant to fit only one position. He was like, oh wait, I could put this card first and it would be even better!"

Monica, Parent

"Hey! It's kind of a puzzle inside a puzzle! So cool!"

Sophia, Little Genius

This is awesome! I have been looking for something for my daughter to think about sequences and processes related to life... like...I want to own a bakery!! what are the steps and process to do that? This is a great way to teach kids!  I Just purchased “I want to make a movie!” Can’t wait to see how the kids come up with the plan!

Why Parents, Educators and Children Love Tensor Cards?

Design Thinking

Tensor Cards help children develop design thinking approach (used by AirBnB, Bank of America, Uber, IBM etc. to reinvent business) by encouraging all 5 stages of the process - empathizing, defining, ideation, prototyping, and testing. Children love having fun with the feedback loops in Tensor Cards.

First-Principles Mindset

Children practice first-principles mindset (famously used by Elon Musk for SpaceX) by breaking down goals into basic elements and reassembling them ground up. They love making a sequence and then removing the cards to see if it can still achieve the goal with better or new or lesser number of cards.

Ready to be the next rocket scientist?

Interdisciplinary Outlook

Tensor Cards promote understanding and application of multiple disciplinary concepts (widely applied in medicine, engineering, social, business etc.) in achieving a goal. Children love using Mobile App Development to solve problems of Supply Chain.

Cognitive Abilities with Real-Life Tasks

Tensor Cards promote development of Cognitive Abilities of Visual & Spacial Processing and Executive Functions like Decision Making, Problem Solving, Anticipation and more.

While everyone loves unicorns and fairies, Tensor Cards simultaneously teach real life tasks involved in achieving a goal. A fairy also needs to test the recipe!

Multiple Methods for Solving

Tensor Cards actively encourage children to solve a problem using multiple methods and contrast them. From Harvard University to US Department of Education, many have echoed the great value in allowing children to explore different ways to solve problems.

Children love amazingly simple technique to try a different solution - just switch the card or guide markers!

Physical Aid for Advanced Concepts

Parents love that Tensor Cards help explain concepts of feedback loops, parallel paths, tangential sequences in such a simplified manner using physical product for children needing sensory input while learning.

Got a child who can't put down the pencil? Unleash her imagination through creation cards and direct her creativity into real outcomes.

How Tensor Cards Work?

Each card is a real-life event involved in achieving the theme goal.

For example, you need to "Build A Recipe" and "Create A Menu" to start a bakery.

The cards have open interpretations so that players can reuse them in different orders.

For example, "Save Money" card can be used before you "Buy A Shop", or after you "Receive Payment From Customers", or both places as a loop.

You can "Test Recipe" before "Create A Menu" and in parallel with "Choose A Location".

Bonus Cards introduce more real-life options to evolve the game to the next level.

For example, you can open an "Ice-cream Truck" instead of Bakery, or open both, or open an ice-cream truck first, save money and then start a bakery.

Creation Cards let players draw and create their own cards for the game and take it in any direction.

For example, players could create new cards for changing the bakery into a vegan restaurant or build a chocolate factory instead.

Guide Markers are directional arrows enabling players to create very innovative sequences of events represented by cards.

For example, you can point 2 arrows from "Find Money" card to "Build Recipe" and "Choose A Location" to show that one event can trigger two parallel next steps and so on. Combinations are endless.

Definition Cards introduce real life concepts and lessons that can be applied in multiple disciplines.

For example, "Test A Recipe" definition explains how "Create - Test - Improve" loop can be applied as a designing process to any product development lifecycle.
